Media Maven

boy listening to radioI’m very excited to announce that I’m going to be in multiple media venues in the coming weeks. Finding Bliss is finding a voice, and I hope you’ll be listening.

My first big show is a segment I’m going to tape with Marilyn Pittman, a wonderful, G.L.A.A.D. award-winning comedienne based in San Francisco who has her own radio show on KQED called Out in the Bay, and has asked me to be a part of it. Who am I to say no?

We will be taping an interview in the next few weeks, with Marilyn asking me all kinds of questions about my coaching and my matchmaking services. I will also talk about what I look for in a client, and how I work with my clients to answer the all-important questions: “Are you ready for love?” and “Are you ready for a matchmaker?” As part of the segment, I’m going to interact with a gay man who is considering outsourcing his love life. It’s sure to be quite interesting so I highly recommend you tune in. As soon as I have the date and time, I’ll pass it along.

My second radio show is going to be recorded next week for air in October. It’s a segment with my friend and colleague, Dr. Frankie, who is a matchmaker for lesbians with her own website. We’ll be talking about the book we’re writing together [with another colleague, Joy Nordenstrom]. What? You didn’t know I was writing a book? Well, tune in to find out more about it. I’ll be posting details as the time gets closer.

Finally, I have yet another interview in an upcoming issue of Edge Magazine, hitting newsstands all around the Castro, and beyond. It’s a free publication, so no excuses not to pick up a copy and check it out.

I am so pleased that the media is showing such interest in what I’m doing. Not so much for me and Finding Bliss, although that is a plus, of course, and I can’t help but be excited about that. But I’m especially happy because I truly believe in what I’m doing, which is helping gay men find the love they want and deserve. And these media outlets are helping me get the word out. So tell your friends, family, partners, dates, roommates and neighbors about my upcoming publicity events. They promise to be positive, inspiring, hopeful and fun – just like love itself is!
